God uses imperfect people as He perfects us. Will you believe that you are His original masterpiece who He fills with His Holy Spirit to be used as His witness, walking in His power? The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation that every believer should seek and receive. Acts also gives us many examples of the first time different groups of people received this Baptism – and the fact that these events saw the Holy Spirit giving the gift of tongues as a marker of this new Baptism. Why is it important for believers to pray in tongues? When you pray in tongues, you pray directly to God from your spirit. This is your own personal prayer language which you can use to pray and communicate with God. When you pray in tongues, you are spiritually edified and strengthened. When you pray in tongues, you magnify and praise God from your spirit. When you pray in tongues, you pray Spirit directed prayers. The Holy Spirit directs your prayers according to God’s perfect will. God’s Word is clear - witness and manifested gifts of the Holy Spirit moving are all part of this baptism and the gift of tongues is a marker of Pentecost
